How can I help?

Bringing up children can be a very rewarding experience, and more often than not, it’s a lot of fun. But as every parent knows, being a Mum or Dad is not without its challenges.

At times, these challenges can make us feel powerless - we just don’t know who to turn to or what to do next. After all, no-one’s child, teenager, or young adult comes with an instruction manual.

So, if that’s how you’re feeling, you’re certainly not alone. And if you live in or around the Chipping Norton area, here in the Cotswolds, I might be able to help.

Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy can help with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties from babyhood to young adulthood, including

  • Birth trauma, bonding and attachment difficulties, clinginess and separation anxiety
  • Potty training, wetting, and soiling
  • Feeding or eating difficulties
  • Sleep issues
  • Behaviour difficulties, including temper tantrums, disobedient/defiant behaviour, anger, aggression, and lashing out
  • Anxiety, excessive worrying, obsessive/controlling behaviour, over-thinking
  • School issues, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, friendship difficulties, bullying
  • Depression or low mood
  • Self harm
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Sexuality and gender identity issues
  • Traumatic experiences or wider family trauma

If your child or young person has an urgent mental health difficulty, please contact your GP or phone NHS 111, or in case of emergency, go to Accident and Emergency or call 999.

If I have a vacancy, I'll then phone you for a no cost, 15-minute initial telephone discussion, or if not, I'll email you details of other people you could contact.

N.B. to protect your privacy and that of your child, please do not include sensitive personal information in your voicemail message or email.
